Post Death Star Playtest
I just finished working on my latest Forge map. It's the Death Star from Star Wars. Not completely correct, but I made it into a workable multiplayer map. Was wondering if anyone wanted to playtest it with me to see how well it works with several people playing at once to see if there's any bugs or anything I missed. Message my on XBL or on here. Gtag: simbeaver21

The map(s) are in my fileshare.
There are 2 different maps. One for Slayer, and one for Assault. Let me know what you think.

The custom games on user maps are kinda tricky. It took me a while to figure it out. Certain gametypes, like Assault or CTF, require you to have certain objectives on the map in order to function. Ex: for a regular game of CTF to work, there must be at least 2 Flag objects and at least 2 goal points in which to capture the flags at on the map in order for the CTF gametype to even allow you to play on the user map you want to play on.

Bungie gives a detailed report on how to make Invasion work with Forge. It will help you figure out how to make other gametypes work as well. Here's a link for it:

It's basically the same thing for any gametype. Invasion is a lot more complicated tho. But for every other gametype, you would highlight an object with your cursor, press X to edit the object options, go to Advanced Options, and go to Game Type Label and set it to the the appropriate setting. Ex: In a regular game of Assault, creating Objectives/Capture Plate, edit the object options to team color Red, going to Advanced Options, changing Game Type Label to AS_BOMB. that would mean that the bomb for the red team, is going to spawn wherever you put that Capture Plate. Setting the Game Type Label of a different Capture Plate to AS_GOAL (as well as setting it to the correct team color) would mean that that's where the bomb is going to be planted. Does that make sense? It's essentially the same deal with most gametypes, you just have to be in the certain gametype when you enter Forge, and not be in Basic Editing, because then none of the Game Type Labels will show up. You can also set certain objects in the Advanced Options menu to be Game-Specific, which means you can have an Assault object not spawn when you're playing a Slayer gametype on the same map.

I also just created another Death Star variant. This one is Invasion. Use the Death Star Invasion (Forge World Map) and the Death Star Invasion (Invasion Game Type). They are both in my Halo: Reach File Share and both have the "8eta" tag that we established for users on this site to exchange Reach Files. Here's a link to the 8eta file search on Bungie.net. Just click on "Custom Maps" button and the "Game Types" button on the left and Download it to your Xbox. (Make sure you're signed in on Bungie.net first!) Like it if you like it. :P

There are 3 different variants of the map, a Slayer version, an Assault version, and an Invasion version. Saved as different maps. The Slayer version is completely interior. It's symmetrical and big. Many different levels and teleporters and such. The Assault and Invasion versions are basically identical. There is an Attacking Base on the Alaska and Montana areas of Forge World, which have buildings, weapons, Falcons, etc. And the Defenders are inside the Death Star defending with Banshees. The goal for the attacking team is to infiltrate the Death Star, plant the bomb, and in the Invasion version, find a way to get out of there and get to the extraction point.

The Death Star has 2 hangars, which go to 2 hallways, and 2 staircases. The staircases lead down into a power core room, which is a long bare walkway suspended above the Fusion core. That is where you will find the bomb. The hallways lead you to a menage of platforms, walkways, and some central buildings which encase the area you need to take the bomb to.

If you want to download it, here's the link to my Halo Reach File Share:

Just finished updating all the Death Star maps. They now have Loadout Cameras which they didn't have before. Re-download them if you want them.
