The Assassination/Knifing Sequence
I personally feel that the Knifing/Assassination sequence takes way too long to kill someone. I have been killed too frequently because I am in the middle of the knifing sequence. The only aspect that I have deemed realistic about this system is the part where you assassinate your enemy while falling and you smash them to the floor because of your weight and momentum. This aspect is fine for me but the one while regularly doing it is not realistic for fast the game play that halo strives on.

Re: The Assassination/Knifing Sequence
I have to disagree. Yes it takes too long but thats why its optional to hold down melee. If ur short on time just tap it and get it over with but if show that ur dominant, a fun way of embarrassing whoever u just destroyed

Re: The Assassination/Knifing Sequence
The assassination/normal melee sequence is extremely insensitive. I've found a lot of the time that the nice quick little pistol whip that I was planning to take someone out with turned in to a 3 second assassination sequence.
I think that there should be a longer period melee hold-down before that short melee kill turned into an assassination.

Re: The Assassination/Knifing Sequence
Half the time what i would consider a quick tap to the bumper ends up doing the sequence. It needs to have a slightly longer delay..
However I really like this feature.

Re: The Assassination/Knifing Sequence
I agree to the solution that you proposed. Knife sequence should be better distinguishable between whether the player is tapping or holding the button.

Re: The Assassination/Knifing Sequence
yeah i totally agree about the time delay but i still love the feeling of when you get to do the sequence but i have never done the one where you land on him and stab him. i want to do that how do u do it????? also has anyone seen the multiplayer trailer in the second scene were a guy assassinated the guy from the front by stabbing him in the stomach. i want to do that too!!

Re: The Assassination/Knifing Sequence
Come on the assassination is the ultimate insult. I haven't had much problem pulling it off, just got to chose the right time to do it or when it's a funny time to use it. I managed to kill a guy with an assasination right next to his buddy. Died immediately afterwords, but totally worth it.
