i agree about tha jumping. i find it a hassle to get up certain obstacles im used to scaling, thanks to halo 3...i also would like to see tha shotgun be able to shoot during reload again. it seems as though the jetpack lasts longer then every other loadout...maybe you could make the others last a bit longer or the jetpack a bit shorter.
on another note i love the way the sniper rifle's aimer bubbles out now and covy slayer is awesome, when u roll into a stick and roll away just as your oppponent explodes. great beta so far, would like to try out a level with sum vehicles that would be great... all in all i cant wait til it comes out. i will be buying..

Okay, I don't want to you to feel persecuted. I was just being crass, I'll admit.
Still, the medal thing seems so small that it could be patched in at any time, and I think they should use the beta to find bigger problems. I didn't mean to imply the medal should never be included, just that it doesn't seem like a big problem right now.
Okay, as for reason I disagree: The DMR feels like a weapon that rewards careful usage and skill, so when I zoom in across the room and put half a clip of lead into someone's head, I feel like I pulled that off based on my own abilities. With the AR, I just point in down a corridor and hold down the trigger, and whatever happens, happens. I like the way the DMR makes me feel like a badass, cyborg supersoldier, like...like a Spartan, actually.
I actually agreed with you about the armor lock, although I thought the fix could be far more minor. I understand that when the Spartan slams his fist down and his shields start going nuts that he's untouchable. But the inviciblility actually starts before the fist comes down, and ends after the shield stop going crazy, meaning you actually get an extra second or so of invulnerablity when it makes no sense.
I was playing Juggernaut earlier, and I like it for pretty much all the reason you didn't. It's total chaos, with bullets and grenades flying everywhere while one unstoppable monster smashes the hell out of anything in range with a giant crazy-ass hammer. It's insane and frantic and most of all fun. Juggernaut is not a gamemode you go in expecting to win reliably, its a game mode you pick when you just want to see some crazy shit. I saw a Juggernaut get launched forward in the air by two grenades, and come crashing down on myself and two other Spartans. We all died in an explosion of kenetic carnage, but we all died having great fun.
I don't think the melee system needs any tweaking purely because I haven't run into any trouble with it, personally. The only problem I have melee-wise is I occasionally mash B while charging forward, accomplishing nothing but making myself look retarded.
Basically, I've been having tons of fun with Reach, and I think the beta is already a huge improvement over Halo 3. I disagree with your suggestions simply because I don't think they'll improve the elements that I've been having fun with. That's all.

so i didnt read any of the stuff posted before so forgive me if any of this has been previously been said. i believe... 1.the rocket radius is recockulous 2.the need to up the damage on the needler rifle DMR and assault rifle(seriously its bad when id rather use my magnum than a assault rifle!?) 3.the grenades are too strong people just spam grenades(pretty much make it like martydom in cod) 4.you are pretty much reduced to pummeling another player majority of the time cuz the ranged weapons in this game need some work 5.when someone leaves a game add another in like call of duty or its automatic loss for the team without majority of the time. 6.i believe the elites are gonna destroy spartans(overpowered)their heads are hard to hit as is and they get a ninja roll!??!? 7.the focus beam does not need 2 zooms unless there is going to be bigger maps 8.S.W.A.T feels nothing like it used to in the previous halos(i have a 50 in it in halo3 and its my favorite gametype but i do not like it in this one) 9.FIX THE SPAWNS,i have died countless times from a enemy teammate spawning right behind me or next to them in plain sight while we are fighting. 10.the spawns in swat need the most work though to the point of people on swordbase just waiting for someone to spawn in a particular place. 11.the sword is worthless against anyone who decides to use a plasma pistol(unless you slash them from behind,but at that point i would like to see the sweet assassination animation instead)at least in covies 12.maybe a tiny very very tiny run increase on the stealth class so you can catch up on people you are behind to assassinate them(i mean EXTREMELY TINY or it will be over powered). 13.the shotgun is perfect,you dont have a trash can lid for a reticule and it not to strong but not to weak 14.previously i did not use needlers i think you guys nailed it in this one 15.possibly melee damage increase if you are sprinting? 17.i like the jump how it is but i do miss "ninjaing" people 18.i have an idea that maybe the armor you buy should affect your loadout too,that way you can have you team specialize in in stuff or be balanced or whatever you want. 19.the new voting system is great besides idle players vote always go to the top one(maybe disperse the votes evenly till people actually vote between the 4 options) 20.it seems that if there is a tie in votes it always defaults to the top(idk i could be wrong but maybe randomize its choosing of the two or give new set of votes like none of the above) 21.cant think of anymore off the top of my head but im sure there is more and will come to me after i post this

and for the DMR damage i do not believe it should take four people to kill one guy quickly with a "precision rifle" i understand the whole bloom things is to increase team work and all that,but seriously with the way DMR damage is 1V1 battles against another skilled player last forever till someone gets a lucky nade or another teammate comes along or someone gets pummeled(usually whoever punches first wins) i extremely hate the fact that i can be stealthed and get the first 3 head shots in with the DMR and the enemy can just whack me twice really fast and kill me...i should have the advantage if i get the first shot not whoever mashes RB the fastest and first.

Green thumb recon control setting. Oversheilds and camo on maps seperate from loadouts. Special medals for assassinations (I didn't see any maybe I'm mistaken). Take out radar jammer on the stalker it happens too often.
