No Bonuses at all, otherwise the game would be unbalanced and force people to try to get more Credits to get the better armor, and then the purpose of Looks would be destroyed, if someone likes Default armor, and it had no special Ability's then they wouldn't pick it, and they'd be sad.

so in Short: No Bonuses for Armor Permutations, there merely Cosmetic only

That would disrupt the balanced of halo if Armor had special ability's

I can appreciate what you are saying, but it's all speculation. I'd rather see something official to be honest. It is what it is. Hopeful thinking I guesss.

have a look through ign's videos, they say in there that the armor perms do nothing, in the hints it is talking about the armor abilities like active camo, armor lock etc NOT about the armor perms

They are descriptions of armor in the Halo universe, not the game. The describe what the armor was made for and what purpose. Like the CQC armor is made for, (what it stands for), close quarter combat with a knife, in Halo 3 you can see the knife but cant use it. The armor doesnt have in game advantages/disadvantages, it is a description of the armor in the Halo universe.
