It appears as though Bungie has taken the look of the elite back to its Halo:CE roots, making it appear less as an intelligent enemy that somehow speaks the same language as you and making it appear more beast like in appearance and possibly by only having the elite dialouge as grunts and the ever-loved "Wort wort wort".

I'd have to agree, and I'm glad for it as well. It would a welcome change to hear the Elites old'school speak before the universal translation gear from Star Trek kicked in, heh.

The elites can be a little more fleshed out. In appearance in and out of armor. Personalities and their society to, and what role does profits have in their society

yea it was way better when the elites were the enemies,,brutes were to easy to kill. No matter what armor they had as soon as there helmets came off it was an easy kill. Elite shields could recharge,,, and it would suck too because ur ammo would run out by trying to take the shield out. Plus they would hide and by trying to finish them off.. ud most likely walk into an ambush other elites and grunts. the Elites are awesome

THE ELITES EASILY out do the brutes and they better be damn playable on multiplayer

its not just the Elites, all of the covenant don't speak English now. Bungie said in the new video on youtube that they wanted them to seem like aliens again, which makes them seem like more of a threat, not just weird looking animals that want to kill us but speak our language somehow.

Yeah I miss the rush of fighting those two invisible elites with energy swords on Halo CE
